The New England Regional Companion Animals Shelter is operated jointly by the Armidale Dumaresq Council and the Uralla Shire Council, it also works closely with the local Armidale RSPCA Branch.

The cost of a dog is $250, and cats are $240. This includes desexing, microchip, vaccination, and life-long council registration throughout NSW.
